Registration for before/after school care programs for SY 24-25 is now open! Learn more and apply now.
Sign Up for After School Program
White elementary offers an afterschool program. The program starts from 1:55pm to 6:00pm M-F. Please Email Mrs. Burkett or call Andrea Hudson at 520-731-5207.
Sign Up for Sports
We are excited to have a program designed to help players progress their skills and develop passion for playing. They will be offering cheer, floor hockey and ultimate frisbee. To sign up, please visit TGA of Tucson.

What Makes Us Special

John E. White Elementary is a pre-K through fifth grade school with Two- Way Dual Language and Self Contained GATE (Gifted and Talented Education)  classes offered at each grade level. Our school has an onsite ELD ( English Lanuage Department).

We have a class program called OMA ( Opening Minds throught the Arts) K-2 students will work with Mrs. Chang for 30 mintues, twice a week during the first semester of this school year.

White has a full-time MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support) Facilitator and a full-time CSP (Curriculum Service Provider) for both teacher and student support.

On campus we have one full-time counselor and part time community liaison that help with the community with resources and social media information.

We are a PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support) school and focus on positive behaviors.

We take a collaborative approach to education, involving parents, faculty and the community in decisions about the school.

White has maintained a B letter-grade rating for 7 years.

La escuela Primaria John E. White es una escuela de Pre-Kinder a 5to grado que ofrece clases de Lenguaje Dual de Doble Via y de GATE (Educacion para estudiantes superdotados y Talentosos) en cada grado. Nuestra escuela tiene en sitio ELD ( Departamento de Lenguaje de Ingles).

Tenemos el programa de arte y musica llamado OMA ( Abriendo mentes con el Arte). Los estudiantes de Kinder a 2ndo grado tienen clase de OMA con la Sra. Chang durante 30 minutos, dos veces por semana.

White tiene un facilitador de apoyo de tiempo completo y un proveedor de servicios del curriculum para apoyar a los estudiantes y maestros.

Tenemos dos consejeros de tiempo completo y una representate de familias los cuales ayudan a nuestra comunidad con recursos e informacion que ofrece TUSD.

Somos una escuela que utiliza el PBIS (Intervencion y apoyo de comportamiento positivo) donde nos enfocamos en tener un ambiente seguro.

White tiene un enfoque de colaboracion en la educacion de los estudiantes, involucramos a los padres, profesores y la comunidad en todas las decisiones de la escuela.

White ha mantenido una calificacion de grado B durante 7 años.
